There has been a lot of gate keeping on the LGBTQ+ community recently. Here in Scotland they don’t like the attack from tge media asking some really important questions on women’s issues, especially relating to the trans community. This is down to the SNP led government allowing trans men to be placed in women’s jails. Plus, there’s has been a lot of controversy with a Twitch streamer F1nnster who was accused of trans baiting. Finn is a Cis male who likes to cross dress, or as his community often say to him, financially feminised. The Trans community do not like the questions being asked.
I guess with most communities, there is the majority who want to get on with their lives, be who they want to be and be accepted for it. However there’s a small, very vocal, minority who want to gate keep, and organise a spectrum into sub sets. They don’t like the questions and will happily lash out.
There will be more questions coming for them. Questions on something is where better understanding and acceptance comes from. I think some of the alphabet communities don’t want broad spectrum acceptance. They want to feel marginalised in their small community. As they get accepted, by the mainstream, they don’t want that acceptance.
